"Despite all the distance and greater hardships we have to endure, in the end we’ll fight through it. You fight, because this form of love can overcome any form of distance." My Long Distance Relationship & Insecurities I’m in my first long distance for almost a year now and we are separated by a whole entire Atlantic ocean, also never met each other in real life. We are both young college students who are trying to keep up our grades while coping with the distance. Relationships are hard . Especially when you’re separated by thousands of miles. I’m no expert...

Hi Andy & Joana! Tell us a little about yourselves. "Our first meet can be defined in one word: awkward." We're a long distance couple both from Portugal. Even though we are both from the same country we are rarely together because we live in different cities and don't have the schedule or the money to be together every week. We started talking in September 16th of 2015 and since then we just kept getting more interested in each other and fell in love. None of us were out of the closet at the time so we couldn't meet, Andy's...

Guest Post: The Two Types of Long Distance Relationships

Dark nights cuddled up to a bright screen listening to your partner’s breathing. That’s the base of a long distance relationship. No matter how it started and no matter how it ends, we’ve all been there, praying for the distance to disappear and for the illusion of the screen to become real. Whether distance is all you know, or you’re adapting to the new daily routine of miles apart, all LDR couples feel the same weight of each mile. They may just see each mile a little differently. The Two Types of LDRs Met Online When a long distance couple...

Now that we've explored how to get the cheapest tickets through a few little tweaks to your browsing habits, we can now explore where. Kayak Kayak is a really good resource for finding the cheapest tickets, hotels and car rentals. This is the site that I personally use all the time. How to Find the Cheapest Airline Tickets | Part One

Timing Absolutely Matters CheapAir.com conducted their own study in 2014 with 1.5 billion airfares and 4,986,522 trips, tracking the lowest ticket prices from 320 days in advance to 1 day in advance. What they found (shown in the graph below) was that the prime time to buy a plane ticket was anywhere between 27-114 days in advance. Moral of the story here is to not wait for last-minute deals and to buy your ticket 1-4 months in advance. However, don’t buy your ticket too early either. Buying more than 80 days in advance showed to be non-advantageous. Even I was surprised...
