Distance was so relatable at every turn and made me laugh out loud, which isn’t always easy! Each episode had a sort of theme, such as meeting for the first time, intimacy in long distance relationships, dealing with thoughts of friends and family, making decisions on “the big move” and many more hard topics. My partner and I’s FAVOURITE set of episodes were the second revolving around intimacy – utterly hilarious and totally realistic. The actors in distance are amazing and make the entire thing very believable. Reactions from friends – spot on.
I recommend you sit down with some wine and popcorn, set up your video chat with your partner and binge through all of these episodes together ASAP.
It’s not often that we find webseries with a unique approach to a story such as webseries Distance. The series capture so well a day-to-day life of a couple in a long distance relationship. Each episode brings new small details to life, creating unexpected story from ordinary moments. Distance is a great webseries for anyone in long distance relationship, and also anyone who would like to see the sometimes raw reality of it.
The story is many times hilarious and keeps you on the edge of your seat. Characters are sometimes weird, and interesting enough to make you want to know more about what will happen to them next. One great thing about the series is that episodes are presented in a creative way- dividing each episode in two stories with two perspectives of same situation.
Two episodes give you a chance to chose which side of the story you want to watch first – Emily’s or Sam’s. It’s surprising how well the camera work is done, and the story keeps you eager of getting to know the other character’s perspective, which never fails to surprise you. The story shows us just how hard long distance relationships can be sometimes, but it also very spontaneously shows the perks of such relationships. While every couple is different and unique, Emily’s and Sam’s story is so relatable.
Prepare yourself for honest laughter and nodding your head, as you recognize your own struggles and celebrate your own little victories together with main characters. Distance is a personal story, yet relatable for so many couples who are dealing with the distance. Highly recommendable!
